   Work's great .

   I bought it as a b'day gift for brother . Already got one with rgb for personal use . At this point in 2024 ssd and nvme are almost same price for mid / high tier products . Gives around 700 – 800 MB/s of copy speed depending on files being copied and the nvme used . Smaller multiple files , found in web projects etc , will be much slower .

   Supports gen 4 ssd's , although it seems like a questionable choice ( financially and efficiency wise ) to use gen 4 drives for primarily use in this casing since the transfer speed will be almost same for gen 3 / 4 nvmes and true speeds cannot be matched without using the motherboard pcie slots . But it's a good functionality nonetheless . If one wants to utilize higher speeds of gen 4 try looking for enclosures which supports lightning port 3 , which are 4 times as fast , but they are 10x costlier , just sharing for knowledge .

   I would advice to use some thermal paste on the thermal pad for better contact to the surface and smoother rolling of enclosure . Also don't apply on the sticky side which sticks to the drive , it will make the pad slide , I had to buy new ones .

   Pro's :
   – Cheaper than competitors and same performance , it really matters .
   – Quite easy to install nvme .
   – Outer body has a nice finishing and the aluminum is nicely polished .
   – Simple plug and play for most modern os . Controller was launched around 2020 so quite mature at this point .
   – Product has extra accessory – 1 usb c to c , 1 usb a ( 3.0 ) to c , a thermal pad , a phone holder and a chained pouch to carry all these in . Also cables has a good welcro zip and the inner material of pouch is welcro too so the zip attaches to it , overall extremely nice extra items .

   Con's :
   – Inner sliding bracket is plastic and seems like a point of failure both structurally and thermally . It would be a solid 5 if the holding bracket was metalic to allow point heat transfer .
   – Even when idle it gets hot but I guess that is problem of general nvme compunded by being confined in small poorly ventilated enclosure .
   – It has design flaws , heat gets trapped and there is on very small air outlet . Other products has lots of holes for easy air cooling .
   – Most of heat dissipation is planned through usage of thermal pad which in turns transfers to the external body . It works on paper but in practice , not really . The thermal pads are either too thick or too thin , using them creates so much pressure on the nvme it risks physical breakage of the drive . Or if the pad is too thin there won't be contact made . They really should figure this out since nvme loses life due to over heating .
   – Current gen nvme to usb controllers don't support SMART status , not really products fault but something to keep in mind if one wants to monitor disk health and temperature , you won't be able to .

   Overall a very satisfying product if you are a tech enthusiast like me who wants to use latest high end drives as mobile storage device .

   Smartest Way to afford Portable SSDs.

   So, just like me, you're probably checking this out to use an nvme ssd with an enclosure so that you can use it as an external SSD and to have so much more peace of mind that using an HDD.

   Well, PiBox is a brand I would recommend to anyone without 2nd thoughts. Premium finish, carry case, a phone stand (with an excellent message), Type C to C cable, USB to Type C and a thermal Pad. All this for ₹799 is beyond Value For Money.

   It's not just because of the contents, the compact and rigid enclosure even inspires confidence to use it even without the case (not recommended, just because you can, it may not be the smartest option). The transfer speeds are a respectable 500MBps Same as the other external SSDs. And with the multiple cable options, connecting to TV, smart phone, Tab or PC – anything is quite easy. The minor drawback is heating, which also has reduced after using the thermal pad (Well thought out solution provided before hand). Plus, this heating is expected with SSDs, the metallic enclosure helps to dissipate the heat better too..

   A Definite Recommendation. 10/10

   Quality of this product is amazing, value added product

   Have been using this product from last 6 months, I purchased this product to use my laptop SSD as a external storage and VM, it's an amazing product which does the job.

   Pros:

   The healt dissipation is excellent and keeps the SSD and enclosure cool.

   The product is super stylish and works efficiently and continuously for more 12 hours with out lag from continuous usage.

   Inside the box there are 2 connecting cables usb a – c and c-c you can use which ever cable you need based on your convenience,1 thermal pad, manual, mobile stand, SSD enclosure, strong box pi box case to hold all accessories.

   I personally felt bit difficulty in installation of SSD in to the SSD enclosure as it was bit hard initially as need to place the SSD in specific angle to fit in the slot but after using it once you will feel super easy and convenient.

   The size is very compact and stylish

   Overall an amazing product and totally value for money, would recommend any one willing to purchase it go for this model which is awesome

   Good quality product in affordable prize

   This is the best you can buy because of following reasons.
   It gives the proper speed like any non thunderbolt external ssd gives.
   It gives a best quality carrying case, heatsink, and mobile stand for free.
   The customer relation is the best.
   It gets heat as it has no fan.
   Usb cables are good.
   Installation of ssd was smooth.
   I have a different opinion only on the plug provided to fit the ssd on the enclosure.
   I am 100% satisfied.
